TURQUOISE line family tree chart

This line is now known to be headed by William Adamthwaite, born in 1777, the illegitimate son of a Mary Adamthwaite.  Mary married a Joseph Hunter two years after William's birth - it is possible that Joseph was in fact William's father - though when the couple married he was 84 and she was his housekeeper aged only 26 (this fact was recorded in precise detail in the parish register!!).  But we have not found a baptism for a Mary Adamthwaite at the right time to discover who her parents may have been.

William married Mary KNEWSTUBB in 1802 and descendants lived in Newbiggin (a small village within the parish of Ravenstonedale) for several generations - this line remained in Westmorland longer than any other of our Adamthwaite lines, though we do not think there are any living male Adamthwaites of this line.

As with all our family tree charts, no information is shown for living individuals.

NOTES: As these are all very wide charts, I had to upload them as Zip files.  When you click on the link the downloaded file will appear at the bottom left of your window - click and zoom in to enlarge the size of the image until the print is legible and then scroll across to left and right to view all the details.

I have had some success taking a CD of some of these images to a local photocopy shop and getting them printed on A1 paper.

If you are aware of any errors or omissions on the chart, please let me know.
